It may appear at first like a lot but it gets fairly well compacted in the front or the rear boot area and would get me (and most importantly our family) out of trouble in many of the likely scenarios we would face e.g. a puncture at the side of the road in Scotland.

Utility:
- A phone with dual sims
- Kidde KSPD2G Fire Extinguisher Multi Purpose 2.0kg ABC (Unlikely to ever be needed in our car but might help someone else out)
- 90 Piece Premium First Aid Kit with a few extras
- Emergency Escape Hammer – Kept inside the car
- Heavy duty tow belt – The towing hook in the Tesla is inside the red emergency bag supplied in the frunk.
- 3-4 Microfibre cloths – Ideal for cleaning windows/mirrors whilst charging or cleaning hands etc when broken down
- Some decent window cleaner – I normally carry some FastGlass or Hydroglass
- Tesla standard emergency kit (warning triangle, tow bar etc)
- Some sealed drinking water – You could easily just buy some bottled water instead
- Anker Portable Battery pack + MicroUSB + Apple Lightning + USB C cables
- A few meters of rope
- £20 in a cash stash
- Walking boots
- A few Hi-Vis Jackets
Warmth:
- 5 x foil blankets – One for each person in car + spares for lying/sitting on etc
- 2 x Survival Sleeping Bivi Bag
- Hand Warmer Value Pack
- A spare coat / socks
Depending on the time of year / the trip etc these extras:
- 24 LED Strobe Beacon (note this has a magnetic base, the Tesla is made from glass and aluminium so it won’t stick)
- A small spade or fold out version (depends on time of year if I carry these at all)
- Ice tracks for wheels – With the weight & 4×4 of the Tesla I probably will never need it but good in the winter as a backup
- 24W Solar Charger (Not taken on most trips but sometimes chucked in the car) – I have two of these in our emergency grab bags
- Fire Steel, Cotton wool balls smothered in vaseline and dipped in candle wax, Solo Stove with Mug, a few lighters, some dry kindling and waterproof matches dipped in wax.
- Torque Wrench, Breaker Bar and Socket Set
- A spare tyre / spare wheel with tyre
- A low profile jack
